Know the site before you get there.

Draw the flight area, press Refresh data on the pre-flight survey, and our geospatial service answers for that exact polygon. Six kinds of answer, written onto the paperwork together and stamped with the moment they were captured. It is the hour of copying NOTAM numbers off a website that we set out to delete.

Airspace and NOTAMs

Restrictions inside a buffer of your flight area, each with its severity, distance, bearing and a blocked flag. Mark each NOTAM accepted or ignored, and add the ones you were told about by phone.

What is underneath you

Schools, built-up areas, hospitals and GPs, care homes, venues, roads, railway, power, water, obstacles and footpaths, returned as proximity hits rather than a map you have to read yourself.

Emergency cover

The nearest hospital, police station and fire station, and every active aerodrome within range, nearest first, with distance and true bearing.

Terrain

Elevation, slope and aspect at the site, plus an elevation profile along any line you draw across it.

Site context

Rural-urban classification, population figures, and the ground-cover composition of the area by percentage.

Weather

A Met Office seven-day outlook and an hourly flight window drawn against the lowest wind limit of the drones assigned to the job. Radar, satellite and a Kp index gauge alongside it.

No account to link, no API key, and nothing to switch on. Site data and Met Office weather come from our own services on every plan, and they expire together under a single readiness check, so a survey cannot quietly go stale on you. What comes back, in full →

How it works

Every job runs the same three steps.

    Set the job up

    Create the project against a client, draw the flight area with its TOAL zones on the project Spatial tab, then drag the job onto the calendar and staff its crew.

  2. 02

    Clear it to fly

    Refresh the site data onto the pre-flight survey, work the Forms rail, then record the flight clearance — every Confirm finding ticked by name, every override justified in writing.

  3. 03

    Fly and keep the record

    Upload the flight logs, import the survey and export the Ops Pack. The logbooks, currency and the CAA audit pack all build from what you already recorded.

Operations is written against the UK regulatory picture. PDRA-01, CAP2606, the CAA Operational Authorisation, NATS airspace and Ordnance Survey terrain. Not bent to fit it afterwards.

Plan the flight

A flight area is the polygon you may operate in, plus its take-off and landing zones and its operational parameters. It lives on the project, so every job on that site can borrow it.

Know the site before you get there

One Refresh on the pre-flight survey asks our own geospatial service about your flight areas. Airspace, ground hazards, terrain, site context and weather all land in the paperwork together, stamped with the moment they were captured. Nobody is copying a NOTAM number off a website.

Every upcoming job is evaluated against the same 18 checks. Each comes back as Blocker, Confirm to proceed, Advisory or Met, and the worst one sets the job.

Survey points come in, get resolved against the project coordinate system, and go out in the format your client actually uses.

  • Import Trimble JobXML, CSV and TXT, merging several files into one survey
  • Pull JXL straight from a linked Trimble Connect project
  • Per-file CRS resolution, and RTK baselines drawn from the base rows in the file
  • Orthophoto overlays and site calibration imported from a JXL
  • Export as CSV, the Propeller two-file split, or the source files as a ZIP

iOS and Android are being built. We are not putting a date on them until we can hold it.

  • The web app is properly responsive

    The same app runs in a phone or tablet browser, laid out for the screen rather than shrunk to fit it.

  • Install it to the home screen

    Add echoMike to your home screen and it opens in its own window, without the browser chrome around it.

  • You need a signal on site

    Be clear about this before you rely on it: there is no offline mode yet. A phone or tablet browser needs a connection to reach your jobs, and offline arrives with the native apps rather than before them.
