01
How echoMike fits together
The objects echoMike is built from — organisation, project, flight area, job, Forms, flight clearance and records — and how a piece of survey work moves through them.
Read more02The home workbench
Home is an operations workbench in five zones — a readout strip, your worklist, the Operations jobs hero, and the Attention and Safety annunciators.
Read more03Set up your first workspace
Take a brand-new echoMike organisation from empty to a scheduled job with a flight area, in the order the app actually wants you to do it.
Read more04Finding your way around
A map of the sidebar and what gates each entry, plus the header controls, the notification bell and the tab bars on jobs, projects and Settings.
Read more05Glossary
Every term echoMike uses that means something specific — access words, safety words, regulatory words and survey words — defined once.

01
Set your organisation details
Fill in the Company tab — operator credentials, HQ location, coordinate systems, VLOS distance and cancellation reasons — so the rest of the app has something to work from.
Read more02Manage people, teams and roles
Work the employee roster: get people into the organisation, group them into teams, and give them a role — including the one thing about roles that surprises everybody.
Read more03Add equipment and vehicles
Register drones, batteries, cameras and kits, read an equipment record end to end, and connect your vehicle fleet.
Read more04Track certificates and their expiry
Record personal qualifications and company certificates, and set up the register so nothing lapses without warning.
Read more05Templates reference
The five template areas behind Settings → Templates — job templates, RAMS & reviews, certificate templates, maintenance templates and permission roles — and what gates each one.
Read more06Connect integrations and brand your documents
Link Trimble Connect, Sage HR, ABAX and DJI accounts, and put your own logo and colours on exported documents.

Clients and contacts
Create a client record, fill in its company details, and add the people you deal with there.
Read more02Projects and files
Create a project, work through its tabs, and manage the documents that prove the operation was legal.
Read more03Jobs and assignments
Create a job, staff its crew roles, and get a pilot on it so flight clearance can be recorded later.
Read more04Schedule work
Put jobs on the calendar, build calendars that filter or collect the work you care about, and send a client a feed of their own bookings.
Read more05Project RAMS
Build reusable risk assessments on the project so every job starts from real content instead of a blank page.
Read moreMaps and spatial data
01
The map
Use the organisation-wide map to find work and check airspace, and the project and job Spatial maps to work on one site.
Read more02Coordinates and control points
Set the project coordinate reference system, then import or add the control points everything else is measured against.
Read more03Flight areas
Draw the boundary you intend to fly, work out where you can take off from, and split the area when one launch position is not enough.
Read more04Annotations
Draw the site detail that a boundary cannot carry — launch points, hazards, cable runs, access routes — and export it as KML.
Read more05Orthophotos
Overlay a georeferenced site image on the map by uploading it with its world file.
Read more06Spatial import and export
Every spatial file format echoMike reads and writes, where each one goes in, and what comes back out.
Read moreComplete a survey
01
The job Forms tab
Forms is where every survey document for a job lives — the rail, the progress figures, section sign-off and review.
Read more02Complete the Pre-Flight Survey
Fill in the nine sections and two checklists that record what you found when you planned the flight.
Read more03Create and issue a job RAMS
Build the risk assessment and method statement for a job, then get a revision issued through review.
Read more04Run On-Site Planning and the briefing
Record the CAP2606 Annex 2 survey, work the four checklists, brief the crew, and clear the take-off gate.
Read more05Job weather and airspace data
What the Weather tab shows, where the figures come from, and where airspace and NOTAM data actually lives.
Read more06Record flights and upload logs
Upload DJI logs to a job, record a flight by hand, and read the job Logs tab.
Read more07Complete the post-flight debrief
Close the operation out: the post-flight and emergencies checklists, the completion checklist and the evaluation.
Read more08Import survey data and export the Ops Pack
Bring survey points into a job, read the RTK baselines, and export every completed form as one archive.
Read moreSafety and compliance
01
The Safety compliance centre
What each of the five Safety tabs answers, which ones you see, and which parts of safety live outside this page.
Read more02Record a flight clearance
Work through the blocking, confirm and advisory findings on a job and record the decision that clears it for flight.
Read more03Readiness checks reference
The four severities, how a job is scored, and all 18 PDRA-01 checks with the exact condition that makes each one block, confirm or advise.
Read more04Publish a controlled document
Draft, review, publish and supersede the Operations Manuals, safety notices and procedures in the controlled register.
Read more05Accept a safety notice
Clear the notices assigned to you, and see who still owes an acknowledgement on a revision you published.
Read more06Work the CAA SkyWise feed
Read the regulator alert feed, keep your own list tidy, and turn an alert into a draft company bulletin.
Read more07Safety settings reference
Operating mode, the flight-release gate, the site-conditions currency window and the daily digest — and exactly what each one changes.
Read more08Review a submitted document
Work the Reviews queue: read the submitted snapshot, approve it with your signature, or send it back with a note.
Read more09Record an occurrence or airprox
Occurrence and airprox reports are a job document, not a Safety-page action. Here is where to find one and how to complete it.
