Plans, features and limits
Which features each plan includes, how storage and seat limits behave, and what happens when you hit one.
Your plan decides which features exist for your whole organisation. It is independent of permissions: a feature outside your plan is unavailable to everyone, including organisation admins. When a plan gate stops you, echoMike says Upgrade required rather than Permission needed.

Storage and seat limits

Starter, Pro and Business can buy additional storage in 25 GiB blocks, up to four blocks and a 250 GiB ceiling; Enterprise storage is negotiated instead. Organisations still in the beta period get 10 GiB and 5 seats regardless of plan.
Subscription statuses
The status sits alongside the plan and can restrict the account even when the plan is generous.

| Canceled | Subscription ended | Read-only |
A cancelled or lapsed organisation becomes read-only: existing data stays readable and exportable, but changes are refused with “Organisation is read-only.”
What you see when you hit a limit

| Upgrade required | The feature is not in your plan | An admin changes the plan |
| Plan limit reached | A quota, usually storage, is exhausted | Free space or buy a storage add-on |
| No seat available | At the active-user limit | Mark a leaver as left, or add seats |
| Organisation is read-only | No active subscription | Restore billing |
